Protection against fire is essential for people and property. When it comes to fire protection, safety is an important requirement and pumps are the most critical component. For these reasons, Idroelettrica SpA created EXSTINGUO, a new series of NFPA-20 fire pump-sets.

The FM APPROVED mark ensures that a product or service has been objectively tested and conforms to FM’s requirements. Customers rely on FM APPROVED products to be certain that products and services will perform as expected.

FM Approved Split Case Pumps

Idroelettrica IDSC Split Case pumps range has been certified FM Approval Class 1311. Fire pumps tested and certified by FM Approvals offer to the end user the confidence that all major components have been tested against a strict set of criteria to ensure the fire pump will deliver the required performance, even in the harshest conditions. Customers rely on FM APPROVED products to ensure that they perform as intended. FM APPROVED is a mark used for fire protection systems as a key element in the protection and safety of buildings, and its universal recognition is a guarantee for the project and often leads to financial benefits in terms of reduced insurance rates.

The EXSTINGUO fire protection system can also be integrated into a complete, self-contained fire pump house: FIREBOX®. The enclosure consists of a prefabricated fire-fighting outdoor module ready to be installed. Entirely manufactured in Idroelettrica SpA, and fully compliant with UNI EN 1090 standard, which is necessary to certify metal structures correctly and to issue CE certificate. The R60 supporting structure, easy to transport, allows total accessibility to people and components along the entire perimeter as it is surrounded by doors.

Testing and inspection room

The renovated Testing Room at the Idroelettrica facilities is essential for the Research and Development department and offers customers comprehensive performance testing services using certified measuring devices. With a state-of-the-art control station and modern instruments, we ensure precise testing of pumps and engines, guaranteeing both quality and safety.

Customers can request to observe the tests or send their inspectors to certify the performance, providing a higher value-added service. Our team conducts highly accurate technical and functional checks on products.

Test Lines

We have three test lines for controlling both surface, vertical, and submersible pump sets.

  • Line 1 from 80 to 2400 m³/h
  • Line 2 from 35 to 1100 m³/h
  • Line 3 from 0.16 to 630 m³/h
